Intro to BIM (building information modeling)

This one day course is designed to introduce you to the concepts of BIM and the tools most commonly used in the industry. We will define BIM, describe the process from various points of view–architects, engineers, constructors and owners, and showcase how various trades and sub-trades can work with software to provide a complete data-rich model to their client. Intro to BIM has been developed by our IMAGINiT Technologies technical staff and will follow this general outline:

Over the course of the day, students will have the opportunity to work with Autodesk® Revit® and Autodesk® Navisworks® on their own workstations to get a better understanding of how the software works. They will also leave with a basic understanding of what BIM is and its benefits to the industry.
